Alberta Coaches Conference

2010 Record Athlete Performances

The Alberta Rowing Association has begun establishing provincial records. The purpose of these records is to make winter training more enjoyable, extend challenges, and keep us all engaged.

Long Term Athlete Development

Rowing Canadahas adopted the philosophy of theLong Term Athlete Development "model" as the underlying philosophy of the sport, and of sports in general in Canada.

Created by a Calgary Physio Therapist.  A free website, with no registration required and offers hundreds of  articles, videocasts and podcasts from organizations such as the American  Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons to the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Starting a New Rowing Club

The Starting a New Club document outlines the types of things people need to accomplish in order to start a new rowing club.  It includes links to government documents you need to complete and the process involved in start up a rowing club.  There are some hoops to jump through including registering as a society, developing a constitution or bylaws, and so on.  If you are considering starting up a rowing club this is the document you need to read.   When you're ready to proceed contact our office and we'll help walk you through the process
