Calgary Rowing Club

Club Description

The Calgary Rowing Club is located on the edge of Glenmore Reservoir in Calgary, Alberta. The club has been in existence since 1967 and is home to a variety of athletes and events. The Calgary Rowing Club has a proud history of producing many outstanding athletes that continue on to compete at the National Team level. There are a number of training opportunities from recreation to full competitive programs as well as Learn to Row, Youth Rowing Camps and the Foundation 2000 program.

Coming from the South or East:

Take Glenmore Trail west bound to Crowchild Trail South. Just follow Crowchild Trail south into North Glenmore Park. The boathouse is located just up on your left hand side. There is parking at the boathouse, and at a nearby parking lot. Please do not park on the grass as your car will be ticketed and towed by the City of Calgary.

Coming from the North:

Coming from the West:

Year Founded

1967 was the Club's first full year of operation.

Number of Members

The Calgary Rowing Club has an average of 300 participants per year, about half of these participants are regular members of the CRC and the remaining half participate in various programs such as Learn to Row,
Youth Rowing Camps and high school rowing programs.
