Edmonton Rowing Club

Club Description
The Edmonton Rowing Club is a non-profit organization, whose mission
is to stimulate, advocate, and develop the sport of rowing in the Greater
Edmonton Area. To achieve a vibrant, strong, dynamic rowing community
we provide training programs targeted at individuals from age 14 to seniors.
We work cooperatively with other organizations and are actively involved
in the community. We provide programs that support the development and
self-esteem of our youth, and give back to our community through various
charitable events such as the Row for Life Festival (which raised nearly
$500,000 for cancer research). The Row for Life Festival has been
replaced by the Row for Kids Festival, with proceeds of fundraising challenges
going to the Stollery Childrens Hospital, in Edmonton.
We believe in providing a co-operative training atmosphere with quality coaches. We believe in providing safe, quality equipment for the use of the membership. We believe in providing a club culture that supports respect, leading to positive interpersonal relationships and group cohesiveness.
